Florian Thein

Florian Thein setzt sich architektonisch, textlich und fotografisch mit Raum auseinander.
Er ist Gründungspartner des Architekturbüros reset. (2009ff) und Redakteur der Bauwelt (2011ff). Seine Fotos waren unter anderem Teil der Ausstellung "Making Heimat. Germany, Arrival Country" im Deutschen Pavillon der 15.Architekturbiennale Venedig (2016). Seine Serie BER erhielt eine Anerkennung beim Europäischen Architekturfotografie-Preis (2021).
Er ist gelernter Zentralheizungs- und Lüftungsbauer, studierte Architektur an der FH Mainz und der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg (a42).

Florian Thein deals with architecture, text and photography concerning spatial matters.
He is a founding partner of the architecture practice reset. (2009ff) and editor of Bauwelt (2011ff). His photos were among other things part of the exhibition "Making Heimat. Germany, Arrival Country "in the German Pavilion of the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale (2016). His photo series BER received a commendation at the European Architectural Photography Prize (2021). He is a trained HVAC Contractor, studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg (a42).
